READ: Evangelism (PART 5) - Apostle Raphael A. Macaulay

Acts 2
38. "Repent," Peter said to them, "and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39. For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.

When we preach the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God to save, everyone who believes is forgiven and translated from the kingdom of darkness, where Satan is lord, to the kingdom of Christ. Colossians 1:13 says, Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (us) into the kingdom of His dear Son.

This is how Satan loses over the one who believes. This is how he lost over us. This is what the preaching of the gospel of Christ, which is the forgiveness of sins in Christ Jesus, guarantees those who believe.

When you pray that God draws men to Himself through the gospel you preach, you should know that you have to go out and evangelize. After praying that souls be saved, go out and preach the gospel. There must be a preacher for there to be a hearer and a believer.

Romans 10:14; How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

They can't call on Jesus in whom they have not believed. They can't believe until they hear; and they can't hear until someone, the believer, preaches. So, the salvation of men is also dependent on us. God needs us on the move to get men saved. God needs our mouth open, not closed, to preach the gospel. We were saved to get others saved.

If God wants all men saved, which He does, then we must make it our core duty to go for the lost. Soul winning is God's business, and God is our Father. Our Father's business is our business. The one evangelising and winning souls is the one truly doing the work of the kingdom. You are not in ministry if you don't evangelize.

Only those who go out for evangelism are ambassadors of the kingdom of God. Every Nigerian is a citizen of Nigeria, but not every Nigerian is an ambassador of Nigeria. To be an ambassador of Nigeria to any foreign nation, you have to be specially appointed by the Nigerian government to honorably represent the image of Nigeria, and watchfully protect her interest and Nigerians in foreign lands.

There is a call, and there is an acceptance. Those who evangelize have accepted their ambassadorial call of the kingdom of God. These ones are the ambassadors of Christ.

Evangelism has to be frequent. You can and should evangelize frequently; it's a matter of priority. If God's burden is truly yours, you will evangelize almost everyday. It is expedient that we make evangelism our priority. It is mandatory that we do it always. If men can go to hell everyday, then it behoves us to preach to the lost everyday.

Let the burden of souls overwhelm you today. Pray to receive the baptism of passion for souls; that you become clothed with the zeal for the lost.

Tell someone today that Jesus loves him. Tell someone today that Jesus died for his sins and rose again to establish him in righteousness. That's the gospel!

Let someone know today that God isn't counting his sin against him (2 Cor. 5:18-19), because Jesus paid for it. He only has to believe it so. That's the gospel!

Let someone know today that faith is the only access to the grace of God in Christ Jesus, for without faith salvation is out of reach. That's the gospel!

John 3:16; For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Tell someone today that there is no salvation in any other but in Jesus (Acts 4:12). He is the way, the only way. He is the truth, the only truth. He is the life, the only life. That's the gospel!

Let someone know that Jesus is trustworthy; He can be trusted. He never fails; He never disappoints. He is faithful; He is reliable. He can be depended on. He never fails; He's always on time.

Let men know about what God has done in Christ for them. Speak more of the goodness of God in the redemptive work of Jesus. Shine your light by preaching the gospel of Christ, the forgiveness of the sins of men, for men to see, come into Christ, and become God's praise and glory. Hallelujah!

Prayer...
Dear Father, the heart of men is drawn to You by You. So, I as proclaim Jesus as Savior and Lord today, draw men to You. Amen.

You are blessed!
