READ: Salvation Is Calling(PART 1) - Apostle Raphael A. Macaulay

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Salvation is God’s expression of love to mankind. The word ‘Salvation’ is Yeshua in the Hebrew, and Yeshua is the Hebrew name of our Lord Jesus. The name Jesus means Savior, One who saves. Isn’t this beautiful? God’s expression of love to mankind is His precious Son Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

When man cries to God to save him, God speaks softly to him saying, “Jesus.” God loved the world so greatly that He gave His only begotten Son for it, and whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. The only way man will not perish is by receiving (believing in) the One whom God gave, Jesus Christ.

The love of God for man stretches through the entire universe. Its breadth, length, depth, and height are incomprehensible outside His word. God’s love has no limits. It breaks boundaries. And now it is calling everyone who is not saved today.

This salvation is made available through the atoning work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without His atonement there would be no salvation. Christ became our atonement so that salvation can be recorded for everyone who believes. Do you believe?

It is like the English word ‘so’ in John 3:16 does not fully capture the totality of God’s love for mankind. God loves the sinner but hates the sin; and that’s why our Lord Jesus Christ was punished for sin. He tasted death because of sin for every man.

Hebrews 2:9
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Hebrews 10:12
But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever sat down on the right hand of God.

Notice that He offered one sacrifice (singular) for sins (plural) forever, and sat down, to indicate that the work was done. This shows the supremacy of the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ over sins, and over the sacrifices of the priests of the Old Covenant, which can never take away sins. And they could not sit down because their work was never done.

Hebrews 10:11
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices [plural], which can never take away sins… (Brackets mine)

The priests stood to minister and offer the same sacrifices for sins. Theirs was not the perfect sacrifice. Theirs could not take away sins. And their sacrifices could not take away sins because it was intended so.

In sacrifice and burnt offering God was not pleased, and God was not pleased because He had prepared a body for the perfect sacrifice in our Lord Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:5-9; Psa. 40:6-8).

Oh, thank God for Jesus, the perfect sacrifice! Not even God’s fiery judgment at Calvary’s cross could outweigh the perfect and eternal sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!

If you are ready to receive the Lord into your heart,
Say this…

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your love and grace toward me.I believe that You died for my sins.I believe that God raised You from the dead and that You are alive forever.Thank You for forgiving me all my sins.Thank You for making me a child of God.Thank You for being my Savior and Lord.Thank You for giving me eternal life.Amen.

If you said that prayer, you have just been saved and now you are a member of God’s precious family of believers in Christ Jesus. I want you to locate a Bible teaching church in your area, a place where Christ’s finished work is exalted in doctrine, become a member and get committed, so that you can grow in the Lord. After salvation, spiritual maturity is next, and this happens when you give yourself to sound doctrine.

Do not hesitate to share your faith with those who are not yet saved.

We cover the earth with the knowledge of Christ.

You are blessed!
