DOWNLOAD: Toya by Tim Godfrey ft. Isreal Houghton

After the release of NARA, popular Nigerian Gospel artist TIM GODFREY usually referred to as The FearlessGeneral has released another song. We thought the artist was going to allow us internalize the bliss that comes with meditating on NARA , I guess we thought wrong .This time he gives us a double
release as both the video and the audio came out yesterday at exactly 3pm.

He calls this song TOYA, which features the multiple Grammy Award Winning Music artist ISREAL HOUGHTON. The song was performed and recorded at the FEARLESS REBIRTH CONCERT IN Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria and was produced by the SMJ for ROX NATION.

TOYA means praise him in Igbo language, the artist expresses Gods praise as he starts the song with “just wave those hands to the heavens” a usual style used by the artist to create an atmosphere of
worship. From the lyrics of the song, the artist celebrates the good works and miracles of Jesus recorded in Luke 7:22 and John 5 respectively as he sings “You made the blind man see”,” You made the lame
man walk”. Through the song TIM GODFREY relates these good works of Jesus by reminding his listeners and audience that if he(God) did it before he can do it again, these lyrics are quite similar to that in one of his old song tilted NA YOU BE GOD.

In expressing the person of whom he urges his listeners to praise, he calls God such names as
AGUNECHEMBA, EBUBE DIKE, EKUEME which means CROWN, STRONG AND POWERFUL GOD, HE-SAYS-AND-HE-DOES respectively. At the latter end of this gospel jam, he chants in tongues and holy screams/shouts to the world to “TOYA” that is to praise the king.
TOYA is a new and unique sound that portrays a melodious interpretation of PSALM 100 which enjoins us to make a joyful noise unto the lord. TIM GODFREY is also the owner of other intriguing gospel songs such as AHAA, AGIDIGBA,ONAGA.
