Habakkuk 3:17-18 “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” [NIV]

Have you ever asked yourself "what is it I'm seeking fulfillment from?" Is it possessions? From things going my way? Social status? The people around me? Finances?

I've come to an understanding that nothing external can make you joyful, it can only make you happy for sometime.... Note, there's difference between being happy and having joy. Happiness is an outward condition ruled by what happens around the individual. While Joy is spiritual, it is an inward condition ruled by the person’s makeup or characteristics. It gives strength that even when things are not going as planned there's this unexplainable feeling from within that keeps you going. Nehemiah 8:10 says “...for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Joy is a powerful asset through which one can see God, the Bible says Ps.100.4 - Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise..... Joy is your number one ticket through which you can enter into God's presence..... Do you know why it seems God had not been listening to your prayers? Because you complain too much🀦

Oswald Chambers once said,

“The Bible nowhere speaks about a "happy’ Christian; it talks plentifully of joy. Happiness depends on things that happen, and may sometimes be an insult: joyfulness is never touched by external conditions, and a joyful heart is never an insult"

So, let’s put in mind the walk in the joy that comes only from the Lord, let it remain in you always, let it strengthen you both in discouragement and temptation. Let it see what lies ahead, not only what is and let it increase day to day.

Good morning world❤️
